More than meets the eye...

Have you ever thought about how we know so little about other peoples lives?

Often we judge peoples actions without really thinking about what they may be living through. I think about this almost every tuesday, because while everyone seems happy, many students have real struggles in their lives.

This video highlights what it would be like to have a parent with a major health problem... Check it out and let me know what it makes you think about?

"My Name is Lisa" is a short film about the Alzheimer's Disease, which is one of many serious and scary diseases still without a cure. Alzheimer's causes gradual memory loss. For more info, go to: www.alz.org

That would be really difficult for your mom to not remember who you are......and when you think about what people are going through, and if you know people well enough that you do know some of what they're struggling with, it's amazing that they can put a smile on their face every day and pretend that it's all good....sometimes it's just really hard and it's good to have somewhere to go (elmbrook =]) where we (i) can get away from whats going on at home, to have somewhere where we feel safe and can just relax without having to worry about other problems in our lives- thanks Brandon and Kristina!

Wow, that must be really difficult for your own mother not to remember who you are. I know this is acting, but it seems so real!

that is a sad movie, but it really makes you think.lisa had the patience and the love to help her mom, and to be able to accept the fact that she would be doing the work. even though its just actors acting, there are people with people in their family like that.
