Do you walk around with a cloud of fire above your head? This seems like something straight from the funnies in the Sunday morning paper now doesn’t it? The reality of this is that the cloud of fire described in Chapter 9 of Numbers was a visible sign that God’s presence was with the Israelites. Whether the cloud moved or stayed…their movement directly copied the movement of this cloud. It is very safe when we see God going before us – such as with the pillar of fire. Could this be true of us today? Do you sense God is near and moving in your life? THIS IS TRUE TODAY! Although the Spirit of God may not manifest himself as a cloud of fire above our heads, the Holy Spirit is God’s gift to us….and HE lives within us! The Holy Spirit guides us as we learn to live and love like Jesus!
The Israelites were on a journey…a very long journey. We are also on a journey. Can everyone see the presence of God in your life? Can anyone see the presence of God in your life?
