Something is wrong with us. We do not live like we should, but it is so much more than that. Our wrong lives are only a reflection of a much deeper problem stirring deep within each of us. We are broken. We were made to be satisfied by God and his Glory, but we are not. Our desires have been corrupted by sin, so that we long for "more" than God. More pleasure, more control, more excitement, more safety, more power, more happiness, more stuff... MORE. But there is nothing more than God, and our desires leave us broken and hurting at every turn.
We sin because God's image in us was broken by our pursuit of more. In the end we can only find wholeness by together returning to the very source we abandoned... God.
